Chapter 2: Chapter 2 (Adjusting to new area)
So here I am in a different city far away from my parents in Tianjin. I am now living in an apartment near Homeware productions company so that it will be easier for me to go to work. Xiao Lu is also with me in the same city but different companies. It's ok as long we are able to meet with each other during weekends. In the apartment, each floor has 6 houses out of which I already visited the other 4 but one seemed to be locked from outside so I left it alone. That house was beside my house. I asked to other people about the owner of that house but they said that the man living there also came recently like maybe a week before. I went back to my room and checked the schedule and saw that I don't have free time on Saturdays. Saturday is also a working day. In order to prepare for my first day at work, I went out to buy some formal clothes and other things like shoes, bags etc. I was new in this city so I called Xiao Lu to accompany me plus it is a Sunday too so it's fine to go for shopping.
Xiao Lu came after 15 minutes and said, " It's now 5 pm. Let's go for shopping and come back early so as to prepare for tomorrow."
I agreed with him and soon left the room. We went to the shops by walking as our house is in a metro city and there were various shops nearby us.
We visited many places during shopping and bought many things for both of us. We also had dinner and soon we bid farewell to each other. As he went to his home, I thought," Wow, time really goes by so fast. It's already 9 pm." When I was about to enter my room, I saw that the room besides me was not locked so I thought, " Maybe the owner is back. Let's visit my neighbor." I went and came out with some fruits as gifts and knocked on his door. I didn't get a reply at first but when I was about to knock again, a man of almost my age opened the door. He was wearing a white shirt with a kitchen apron and black pajamas and was holding a spatula. For a while, it seemed like I had seen him somewhere and was familiar with his face but I don't remember where. He was so handsome that I couldn't get my eyes off from him. As I was standing still, he came close to me and asked," Are you going to say something or continue looking at me?" I was flustered and said shyly," Umm, I am your neighbor and here are the fruits as gifts. Hope you accept this little appreciation from me." He took the fruits and said, " Since you are my neighbor, come inside and have a meal with me. I was just preparing dinner right now."
I fidgeted at first and as I was about to reply to him, he pulled me near him and said," It's a good time to know each other while having dinner. I also want to know more about you."
I was already red like a tomato. My heart was racing. I calmed myself and said," Ok same here." I closed my door and followed him inside to his room.
