Chapter 47: Lie beside me

His wolf is frightened.

I don't even know what is going on here, but I have this urge to protect them. I have this urge to make things right, and I know I will wake up and I will not be here. Even though it frightens me, I also know that I have to fix things out there. That is the only way I would be able to bring him out of this.

"He loves you," Col points out.

I look up at him and there is a goofy smile on his face. "He is you. Of course, he loves me."

Col is separated from his wolf. That has never happened before--at least not to my knowledge.

Whatever was done to him is the most inhumane thing anyone can do to a werewolf. If this is by Ashina's hands, I would never forgive her for this.

"I saw you when we first came here, through my eyes. I wanted to hold you, not her, but I couldn't. "

"I know."
