Ian and Marcy lay in the bed of the guest room at Storm and Katrinas pack house in silence. Marcy lays with her head against Ian's chest while Ian runs his fingers through her hair. They listen to the pups howling outside in the woods together while they try to digest the new found knowledge Katrina was able to dig up for them on the mark earlier that night. A mermaid like what the he**, and who has ever heard of a hybrid wolf mermaid? As the stress of the day starts to slip away the two of them hall fast asleep.
The next morning Ian awakes to an empty bed, he can hear Marcy groaning from the bathroom.
* splash *
Ian jumps up at the sound of Marcy getting sick from the next room. "Marcy are you okay..." there's no answer, the only noise from behind the bathroom door is Marcy's groaning in-between the splashing noises of her vomiting. Ian knows something is wrong. Ian can't wait for a response anymore, she is cleat sick and won't acknowledge him standing on the other side of the door. Ian grabs the door knob with one hand and knocks with the other "Marcy I'm coming in." Marcy chokes out a noise that Ian assumes was a protest of some sorts in-between the gagging noises. Ian swings the door open anyways, I mean she didn't actually say no after all. There on the floor sat Marcy. Her hair tied up away from her face, her head hovering over the toilet while she clung to the porcelain toilet for dear life while she heaved. However the first thing that Ian noticed was her color, she was a pale green color. Almost making her look alien like.
Ian rushes to Marcys side, kneeling next to her. He brushes her loose strands out of her face and rubbing her back as she heaves again and again. At this point the toilet is almost completely full. Ian notes the excessive amount of vile before lifting her head slightly before flushing the toilet for her. This process continues for another hour or so. Breaking Ian's heart knowing there is nothing he can do for her except be there for her. As Ian lifts Marcy from the floor carrying her over his shoulder to lay on the bed Ian notes just how weak and fragile she is now. This is the moment Ian is fully aware that something is seriously wrong "It's gonna be okay Marcy, I've got you."
