Chapter 6: The Meeting
~five years later~
Flint
After I turned for the first time, I was welcomed by the pack. They only accepted me back because my father is the Alpha. A week after my first turn, I was able to join the pack by completing a pack bond. It is a special ceremony for newly formed wolves or a new pack member. While in wolf form the Alph and you will bite each other's right front leg in taking blood. The Alpha then places his head on your to complete the bond. You repeat after him saying you will protect the pack with your life. Afterward everyone howls then there is a feast for the new wolf. That is only the shortened version.
A week after the ceremony I started my Alpha training. Several weeks later Austin turned for the first time since I wanted him to become my Beta he started his own training. Regular wolves would start combat training while in human and in wolf forms. The regular training is less intense than Alpha or Beta training. Once a week the Alpha and Beta in training will be put on a task to solve together. This makes the Alpha and Beta bond stronger. When we were not training we were causing trouble. What else do you expect from two teenage guys?
My wolf's name is Ignatius. He hates when I call him Ignite or a hothead. I just find his frustration humorous. He has never agreed with anything I have done so far. The time Austin and I found a waterfall and jumped from the very top. Ignatius said, "You are going to kill us you fool." Then there is the time I tried dating within my pack and every single girl Ignatius had a smart remark. "Our mate is out there somewhere, but you would rather fool around with this tramp," Ignatius said. It has come to the point I feel like I have a second father but this one lives in my head.
Glacia
I have been traveling from state to state never staying in one place more than a week. In the first month of me running, I came across another pack's territory. I honestly did not know at the time since I had only just recently turned into a wolf. I did not know how to track nor notice that other wolfs have the same smell. When Coin told me to run I did but I almost died in the process. Several of the pack members were able to catch up to me. They broke several of my ribs and if did not jump into the river they would have killed me.
I try to stay in my wolf form as long as I can. Coin told me if I would stay in my wolf form for longer than three months I would permanently become a wolf. I would lose my personality and Coin. After three months I would find a cave gather as much food as I could. Coin showed me how to make objects out of ice so creating a freezer for fish was easy. I would be stuck in my human form for a week. Coin would not talk to me for she could recover. I never had clothes or wanted to take clothes. I had no money so there would no point of me finding a town. During this week my powers would not even work and I actually felt normal. It has been five years and I forgot how to walk. I have been in my wolf form for so long that not knowing how to walk is not concerning anymore. The only problem is will another wolf find me.
Flint
Dad has Austin and I scouting today more practice. We actually have to find a pack member that is in wolf form that is wearing a red scarf that has a different scent than a pack member would.
"Austin you scout the west perimeter and I will scout the east use the bond if you notice anything. We will meet in the south part."
He nodded at me then turn and started scouting. It is more of sniffing out unfamiliar smells. Each pack smells like their territory and since we all have different territories we have different smells. My pack smells like juniper trees. I sniff the air and the scent of redwoods hit me.
"Austin, I picked up a different scent but I am not sure if its the guy we are looking."
"Flint, what do you mean?"
"The scent is of redwood."
"Your the dad said it would be a scent of a neighboring pack. You should contact your father first."
"This is why you're my beta. I will contact dad but still scout out the guy we want."
I felt the link between me and Austin disappear.
"Dad, there is a situation."
"What do mean a situation?"
"There is a wolf who scent is of redwoods."
"Do not go near. Flint, please do not check it out. Where are you?"
"I am northeast on the perimeter. The scent seems to be coming from the caves at the bottom of the mountain."
"Flint, Wait for me I am only ten minutes from you."
"Flint, your father said stay so please do as you told for once."
I rolled my eyes. I paced in place because I really could not stay still. For some reason, I was on edge.
Dad ran up in his wolf form which is completely black with dark chocolate eyes. He nodded for us to go near. The closer we got the scent started to change to a sweet scent. I started to follow dad because the scent I was smelling was completely different.
"Flint, when we get to the cave you let me go inside first."
I ended up nodding because I was not able to think straight.
"Flint, that is our mate we have to meet her. We have to go to her."Ignatius yelled inside my head.
Ignatius took over and was running faster than dad.
"Flint!"
Ignatius entered the cave but we were hoping for a wonderful looking girl maybe female wolf.
The girl looked like she could not move nor be alive. She was skin and bone. She was not even wearing clothes but I was more scared for her health than anything. When dad walked in I accidentally growled at him.
"Flint, step down!"
I whimpered from my dad words and laid down.
"She is my mate. I have to protect her. She is clearly unhealthy."
Dad turned around clearly not wanting to feel uncomfortable.
"I mind linked Brody. She is bringing a set of clothes for you and her. The girl is unconscious. We do not need her freaking out. You can wait outside until Brody gets here. I also mind linked Austin and the other wolf, that you two were scouting, to go to the pack house. I will be at the pack house calling a pack meeting stating that a new wolf is in our care." Dad turned and walked out.
I looked at the girl one last time with my ears down and I walked out of the cave.
Several minutes later Brody showed up with my clothes and some clothes for the girl.
"Is she really your mate?"
I only nodded. I wanted to care of my mate more than anything. I turned around and into the cave.

I was sleeping until I heard two males talking to each other. I wish I could hear Coin right now. She would know what to do. I grabbed a rock and I decided I hit one of the men with it. When several minutes past and he walked back in I threw the rock. What I thought would happen did not. I was only able to move the rock a foot away from me.

Yasmine2335 I changed it to be all first person so the first five chapters have been updated. I know my time jumps are a bit confusing. I promise there is only one more time jump but it will not be till the end.
