The sweet smell of something I knew all to well among those who relished the pleasure of killing or a need to permeated the air. 

A flash rose in my mind;

this was once when the prey that the wolves had been hunting had gone into stampede rushing to where I had hid. 

At that time my birth mother had rushed from the pack of "chasers¹ " sprinting directly in my direction. 

Unleashing her bloodlust immediately causing the entire herd of prey to faint from fear. 

Seeing this, I felt excitement and not fear because mother's form had swollen to five times its normal size only to go on a rampage.
