Synopsis
When a unique cultivation game launched its server, it welcomed a sea of players, one of which was Fang Yue.
However, he soon realized something strange about the game—it was too difficult to beat.
A large number of early players quit the game, but Fang Yue stayed. He then found out something more complicated about the game.
Three months later, the Wicked appeared in real life and the game data started to sync with the real world.
Everyone was terrified. All the early players returned to the game together with players from all over the world. Simply put, everyone went back into Blue Ocean.
However, when they started the game and were being hunted by the Wickeds, they realized that the veteran players’ avatars appeared in a different art style than theirs.
Fang Yue exclaimed, “You audacious Wicked! In a single glance, I know you aren’t human!”

This horror novel reminds me of World's Best Martial Artist theme (and Fantasy Simulator's HUGE plot twist at 200-something chapter) but with Since The Red Moon Appeared vibes. So if you liked the tone and seriousness of Since The Red Moon Appeared, Dark Blood Era, early arcs of Way of the Devil, the Library/demon dude novel or any other solid horror/thriller stories (even within Infinity genre) we have seen qidian not pick them in the past 2 years then this is definitely a novel for you.
GREAT START! Can't complain about this novel not capturing my attention and hooking me. Now I desperately want chapters. Moarrrrrrr!!!! I needs marrrrrrr!!!!now!!!! Screaming intensifies.
Read up to chapter 20. We start off with MC picking up a piece of paper that can foretell his future in the real world. It seems really cute from the impressions I got of it. Then there’s the VR half of the story. The initial scene of MC in an abandoned temple with two children is a nice way of introducting the dangers of the world as well as MC’s cheats. You have the basic HP and lifespan stat as well as Control and Block, which haven’t been explained for some reason. From what I can tell Control is power and Block is how much damage you block when you block. Currently, I’d say its worth reading further on if you like MC’s personality (he complains alot?). The beginning is pretty solid in capturing my interest.
Honestly, I did not like the summary one bit. The story itself was good though, in my opinion. The idea used in this story is executed quite nicely, making it fresh and interesting. I recommend reading it.

This def my top pick from the current trial reads. It surpasses the rest as it exceeds expectations. Wonderful read. Hope the author doesn't screw it up later on.
Love the story. Really well written. Love the gameworld, the stats and how the game works. I haven't found any grammar mistakes yet so it looks good. I recommend the story and hope it gets picked. 😁👍

great story...good background..best one in the newly released novels....I don't know why there is alot of fans in repeated stories which is published in different names....good and different novels never picked up

I like that the game has a good build up. Powerful main character and not to over powered but works his way up. Shows a good progression with the story so it's not at a stand still.

It's fairly decent and I'm enjoying it. I do have to ask though, what's with these Chinese novels and main characters with absolutely no clue acting like they are the best? It's so confusing. He notices he's taking damage from his actions but keeps doing it anyways and ends up with crippled meridians. He only has a boost during nighttime, but somehow can't keep track of the sun? It's just strange.
Hmm its interesting novel that match its description. The only think I don't like is golden spoon(mc gets mid game skills in early game ->very big handicap). I hope it don't became another "cheat is a point of a novel" novel.
