Chapter 3: Chp 3:Uncovering the past
The next morning, Rohan set out to explore the surrounding areas, determined to uncover the history of the villa and the truth about Sophia's life and death. He walked through the nearby woods, searching for any clues that might lead him to the answers he sought.
As he walked, he stumbled upon an old, abandoned church. The building was decrepit, but Rohan felt drawn to it, as if it held secrets he needed to uncover. He pushed open the creaky door and stepped inside.
The church was dark and musty, but Rohan's eyes adjusted quickly. He saw old pews, a crumbling altar, and a series of faded stained-glass windows. But what caught his attention was a large, old tombstone in the corner of the church.
Rohan approached the tombstone, and his heart skipped a beat as he read the inscription:
"Here lies Sophia, beloved daughter and wife. Taken from us too soon. May her spirit find peace."
Rohan's mind raced as he realized that this must be Sophia's final resting place. But why was she buried in an abandoned church? And what did the inscription mean by "taken from us too soon"?
Just then, he heard a faint whisper in his ear. "Look for the diary." Rohan spun around, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around him, echoing off the walls.
Rohan knew he had to find that diary. It might hold the answers he was searching for. But where would he find it?
