Adall and Lyara safely escaped from the inn, but the latter could easily guess that they wouldn't be able to outrun their pursuers at their current pace.

Even though the wolf woman had a speed that rivaled rank 4 entities, she could only fully deploy it under normal conditions. Indeed, she had just narrowly escaped having her throat cut by the daggers held by the assassins on their heels.
