Chapter 110: The plot

There was a rumour in the Palace then, that the king would have married Cyp had it not been for the blood ritual.

This, and many more, are the reasons the queen is constantly searching for ways to get the king to throw his precious daughter out of the palace.

Nothing has worked since she started this. However, the queen wasn't ready to accept defeat.

"Crown princess," the queen, was formal.

"Why are you here this evening? You just returned from your journey. You deserve a rest."

The king's tone towards his daughter was both gentle and light. It was unlike the one he uses when talking to his sons.

"No, father. I have had enough rest as I can. I hurried over here to see if elder brother was in the throne room."

"Why didn't you check his chambers first, crown princess? You need not come here had you gone there first."

There was a smile on the queen's face, yet her words were biting.
