"I thought you won't make it," Kel smiled when I sat next to him.
"The boss asked me to leave. We are almost through with our project. After that, I won't have any reason to stay behind after work."
And that's where my problem comes in.
I don't want this project to be over. Spending time with Mar is the only way I can get close to him.
After this, I will no longer have a reason to be close to him.
"It's great news. It means you get to have more time to yourself."
"It's good." I force a smile, "it means I will be leaving the office in time, just like how it was supposed to be."
"Cheers to that." He raised his cup and consumed the alcohol on it.
"Yeah, cheers to that," I agreed. However, I didn't make a move to pour any for myself.
I'm not good with alcohol. Should I end up taking a drop of it, I might commit something I might regret.
I look around the bar.
