100% The Void Inside (Void stiles) / Chapter 13: The final move

Chapter 13: The final move

It was dark outside. No sound was heard. The moon was up. It would make it a perfect horror story if there would be a wolf howling. But there wasn't even a wolf. The trickster sat in a tree. Smiling. Enjoining the chaos he had created. Nothing made any sense anymore. He had fed everyone so many lies and everyone took them like they were starving of hunger. He chuckled slightly. Oh, how he had loved to play his little game. But every game had to come to an end. And he was ready for the final strike. He had 3 choices.

1. Leave everyone in chaos, they would never really know their enemy, they would never really know what had gotten them. He would just disappear, but what would be the fun in that?

2. Leave them with strife. Leave them wondering what they did wrong. How he had gotten away. They would fight over it, they would never know why they weren't able to catch the fox. They would blame each other. Hearing horrors striking other towns and knowing it was their fault, but who exactly was to blame? Again he wouldn't be able to witness that... Not the best option either....

He loved all the three outcomes. But he had to chose one, and he already knew which one. Void felt almost sad for winning. He loved the game, but it had to come to and end. And the end would be the last option. Option 3. He could play out one last trick. A trick that would destroy their little lives. A trick that would remind them once and for all that they just couldn't trick the trickster. And oh, how it would leave them in pain.

Void smirked and hummed slightly as he jumped at the ground. This would go lovely. No matter what they thought, at the end, he was still playing with all the strings. He walked inside the house and stared at Keylee who was still sleeping on the couch. Unaware that anything had happened. Void sighted, he would explain her later, right now he was gonna wake up Scott...

Scott opened his eyes. Everything smelled so familiar. He lied down on something. His bed, he was home? But how? He was in the animal clinic right?

'Oh Scott. How I loved out little game.' Void's voice suddenly filled his head. 'I'm sorry to say, but is has to come to an end. See. I absolutely love playing tricks on you but now I'm getting bored. So it's time for you to wake up.'

Scott turned around and saw that Void held out a gun, he quickly fired it on Scott. Scott stared at him wide eyed before he slowly fell down.

'W-wha-'

'Shhh, don't try to talk Scotty. There's wolfs bane in that beautiful silver bullet of mine. I mean, come on. Did you really think you could beat me? Now. I would say good night seeing you're dying but it's kinda ironic cause it's waking you up.'

Scott looked at him in confusion, the wound was stinging. The blood was coming through his shirt. He knew it wouldn't be able to heal. Before he could thing or do anything else he felt a sword piercing through him. It didn't hurt anymore. He knew the wound was deadly. He knew he was dying. He closed his eyes...

With a gasp he jumped up. His surroundings were once again different. White. A hospital. His mother lied down next to him. 'Mom?'

'Scott? Honey. Oh, I'm so glad you're okay. Something went terribly wrong. What's the last thing you remember?'

'V-void. He- He killed me.'

'No, no he didn't. You were just unconscious.'

'the trick... it really was in my head. But, then I was out for days! How much happened in my head and how much was real, is this real!?'

'Ohw, poor Scotty. Nice trick right? Did you really believe you could safe her? I warned you. What was it that I told you again? Oh yeah. By the end of the week she'll be dead if you don't kill anyone. Wait a minute. I want everyone to be here once I do this.'

Scott tried to stand up but wasn't strong enough. Melissa placed her arm protectively in front of her son.

'Aw, Melissa. I'm hurt. That you think I would do anything to harm him now.'

Scott and Melissa looked confused at void. Angry and scared. What was going on? What was gonna happen?

Not much later the Oni appeared with Stiles, Lydia, and Keylee. The Oni let go of them and they all walked away from Void.

'Scott!'

Keylee jumped in his arms but Scott pushed her away. Not trusting anything anymore. Keylee looked hurt.

'Well look at that , old gang together. Aww, sorry Kitten. My bad. I might have made him believe a few things. But I did that to all of you so...'

Everyone stared at him. 'The dreams.' Stiles stated eventually. 'They were dreams.'

'Bingo. And we have a winner! Very good Stiles I'm impressed. From the moment I stole the book I knew it had a tracker. You didn't really thought I needed a book for some ritual did you? Anyway. I will explain it all to you. It was one. big. trick.

From the moment you idiots set foot in the woods I used wolfsbane smoke and Nitrous oxide to make you fall asleep. From there on it was all a dream, saving your little sister. Interrogating me. Every single one of you had a dream. You have no idea of how far my power goes. Keylee never set foot outside, sorry, I made you dream that too. I just wanted to know how you would react, I placed your reaction in Scott's dream and otherwise. That makes it kinda real right?'

'But we know your weakness. You care for her Void.'

Void looked from Stiles to Keylee. 'Do I?'

'I don't care for anyone. Only my game. I made you a promise Scott, the first time after I kidnapped Keylee. I promised you that someone would die by the end of the week. You didn't kill anyone, you made a move doing nothing. So now it's my turn.'

Void quickly grabbed Keylee and they vanished in black smoke. Everyone stared at each other in panic. Before they could go Stiles' phone rang.

He stared at the screen. 'It's Keylee.'

'Well? Pick up!'

'Hi there, you have to wait for about five minutes. Don't hang up, we are switching to a video call.....'

Keylee stared up at Void. They were in a field with beautiful flowers. The sun shone bright. It was beautiful.

'Where are we?' She asked unsure. It felt like she was forgetting something.

'Think Kitten. What happened here the last time. It's kinda ironic. Once again you fell for my tricks. You just couldn't resist it could you?'

'Wha-'

'This is where it happened the other time. The other time you died at my hands.'

Keylee stared at him with a blank face. This wasn't true.

'I don't care for you Keylee. I know you thought I did. That was the trick. You would do so much for me. I bet that if I had asked you to run away with me you would. I'm heartless Keylee. I don't care for you or anyone.'

'I'm heartless Aya. I don't care for you or anyone. You are a fool to get tricked by me. And this is where it ends. Goodbye Little Cat.'

Keylee shook her head. 'I don't believe you. You helped me. You cared for me. You couldn't just- It couldn't be only a trick!'

Void shrugged. Ignoring the feeling of guilt in his stomach. 'It was. It was all a trick. I don't care for you. You are just part of the plan. I had to make you believe I did, it would prevent you from running away and it would make this only more painful.'

'You're a good liar Void, I give you that. But I can feel your guilt.'

Void looked down. Stupid feeling of emotions. If only Scott knew that the soul mate theory was truth. It was exactly why he needed to get rid of Keylee, he couldn't let her be a weakness. Scott turned the sound and camera of the phone on.

'Hi Scott. Missed me?'

He grabbed Keylee and pulled her on the camera so she and Scott could see each other. Yet she was focusing on Void.

'I don't believe it!' She repeated stubbornly.

'Well then, that's stupid.'

Keylee stared in his eyes. They were void. No emotion she could see. Was it all a trick. That couldn't be. She didn't remember the last time. Had he killed her? Would he come back? He cared right? There had to be some part of him that cared, he helped her, he even made her pancakes. she felt the tears stung behind her eyes. Yet she refused to let them fall. She didn't want to admit how much she cared for him, she didn't know what it was but it felt like he was everything she cared about, and how more she refused it how stronger the pull.

'You wouldn't kill me.' She stared at him. She was sure. But as he spoke his next words she started to doubt her statement.

'But I would Keylee. I have done it before.' Void looked at the camera. 'Just remember Scott. This is all your fault.' Whit that he stabbed Keylee in her stomach. Her eyes widened in disbelieve. The blood quickly started to flow and she fell down. Void Smirked and ended the phone call before kneeling down.

'W-why?'

Void sighted. 'Because you are my weakness. I'm sorry Kitten. I can't let you live. You are right you know. I do care for you. I can't let that happen.'

'So y-you k-k-kill-led m-me?'

'Yes.' Void sat down and pulled Aya up in his lap. He softly stroke her hair. He wasn't meant to love. He was meant to be completely void inside. Yet it hurt. I hurt seeing her dying in his arms. And even the pleasure of hurting someone else with it couldn't make it better.

'Hey Aya, I think I love you, you have the right to know that. Yet I'm not sorry I killed you, I had to. Please understand. Please forgive me. You are too good for me, for this world. You have right to know that. A part of me had begged me not to kill you, but killing you would be the only way to kill that part of me. I wished there was another way. I will try to stay away from you in your next lives. It's better if you don't know me. If fate could just let the bond be destroyed. I won't care for you again.'

'Yes.' Void stared down at Keylee. She didn't understand. He didn't understand either. He wished he could scoop her up in his arms, hug her, help her. But he couldn't, not again.

Hundreds of years ago he had done the same thing, he had asked her for forgiveness and she forgave him because she saw the light in him. Because she saw what no one else could see. She could feel past the void walls he had pulled up against his soul. e knew that was why Keylee didn't hate him, maybe if he just betrayed her, broke her soul beyond repair, it would break the soul bound. She wouldn't forgive him next time, if there was gonna be a next time, he made sure of it.

She would impossibly want anything to do with him now. He killed her, he had tricked her. Or at least that's how he brushed it of. He stared at her like he didn't care she was dying. He had hurt her friends, killed her best friend. Created chaos. No soul bond would be able to make her forgive him now. It would be better like this.

He knew no one understood. Heck, even he didn't understood it fully. All he knew was void... he had been void, ever since everything was taken from him. And he had no problem with it. He could kill people without feeling, hurt them, create chaos. He loved that, it was what he liked. Was it wrong? Probably, but he still enjoyed it. Now he wasn't distracted anymore, now the only feeling he ever felt was gone, he could continue with that. He felt slightly sad but like always, he masked it by smirking.

Void walked to the line where forest and field met each other. He ordered the Oni to get her family here. He saw them, Scott panicked and held Keylee in his arms. Melissa cried. They tried to get her back. Void had made sure they couldn't. He had seen her die. The light had died in here eyes. And with that, the rest of his feelings had died too.

He had now completely submitted to it. He had completely submitted to...

The void inside.

A/N

This is not the end of everything. I'm making a part 2 with Theo in it as well and I'm gonna call it "The Void Throughout"

I'm sorry I let Keylee die, what do you guys think about that? I mean, I couldn't really give her and Void a happy ending cause we're talking about Void here, that would be highly unrealistic and I tend to keep it a little realistic. I really hope I'm not disappointing anyone with an ending like this.

If anyone has questions I'll be more than happy to answer, I'm aware that a few things don't make sense and that's in purpose because, well, it's Void.

Okay, that's the ending of part one, I hope this wasn't to bad for my first fanfic, I would love to get your opinion on what was going well and what I can improve for my next book. Thanks for reading!

Have a nice day/night :D
