Chapter 231: 230 – Fang Takes a Chance

The next day, Ren went off to SIMS for his scheduled surgery, and Fang secretly went to find Wolf to check in on the situation with the kidnappers and the deposed royals of the Valley Kingdom. He knew that Ren was overprotective when it concerned him or the babies, but Fang didn't want Ren to bear all the burdens by himself.

Wolf refused to let Fang see the leader initially. He could understand Ren's overprotectiveness, and after what he had witnessed yesterday among the seventh prince's memories, Wolf felt rather protective of Fang himself. He didn't want Fang to recall any of his past trauma.

"How will I know if I have overcome my past if I can't even bear to see this one captured person…?" Fang asked Wolf, looking rather aggrieved. "I know that I am perfectly safe now and there is no way you would let me come to harm under your eyes, right?"

Wolf sighed. Fang was a deadly negotiator when he really wanted something.
