Lucas was a bit startled to see Samel use spear energy so suddenly, but he had his fair share of battle experience, so he immediately calmed down and thought of ways to counter it.

It was not like it was the first time he saw someone using weapon energy, or in this case, spear energy.

He was well aware that many, if not most, cultivators were able to use weapon energy, which was different from just coating their weapon with a layer of their spiritual energy.

Usually, the beginners would just coat their weapon in a layer of spiritual energy spread on its outside haphazardly without any proper form to prevent the weapon from shattering as well as add an extra edge to their attack power, speed, raw strength, piercing power, or whatever they specialize in.
