Chapter 67: The baby spirit

Drake sat there in silence, staring at the empty gate. After a couple of minutes, he shook his head. 

If it was someone else, this threat may shake them to the core, but he did not care. Even fear had its upper limit. Many powerful people were already after his life, adding one more would do nothing. 

Instead of wasting time on why and what happened, he got up from the bed and stood up.

The simple act of him standing after so long made him smile. It was so long. He missed this sensation of his feet carrying his weight. He lightly jumped and stretched his body while yawning. 'Aaaah..' 

In the silence of the empty hall, the sensation of chilly morning air on his face made him feel fresh as he said, "Happy to be alive." 

Kane started laughing, [Haha, same.] 

He also joined in with no thoughts, just enjoying the moment. The echoes of laughter filled the entire room.
