"So you think someone was behind He Xinlan's actions?" Zhuo Jingren asked while watching Lily comb her hair as she walked towards their bed.

"That is the only reason I can come up with that makes any sense. He Xinlan is a doctor. Drunk driving? I don't think she is that dumb. Did you see Yang Lina and He Yuyan's state? They were a mess…" She slowly sat on the bed next to Zhuo Jingren. "It was not an accident. It was an attack, and I was the target."

Zhuo Jingren fell into a deep silence when he heard Lily's words. His smooth brow slowly became rumpled as he threw back the covers and climbed out of bed. He walked towards the desk in their room and opened his laptop.

"What's wrong?" Lily asked as she followed him towards the desk. She then looked at Zhuo Jingren's laptop. "Information on the Mu Family?"

"Hmmm… I asked Jichen to get this information when we were investigating what happened to you seven years ago."

"And?"
