Chapter 70: 70 " Elenore"

"Why are you looking at me like that?" John asked, a hint of frustration in his voice.

"That's why I'm telling you," he continued, his tone growing more intense. "My illusion doesn't make any sense. That's why I think this house might be cursed."

I searched his eyes, trying to understand the depth of his feelings. "What do you mean, John? What exactly doesn't make sense?"

"Everything!" he exclaimed, running a hand through his hair. "The visions, the old man, the way I felt—it's all jumbled. I can't trust what I saw, but it felt so real. Elenore, why are you looking at me like that?"

I took a breath, trying to convey my concern. "I'm just thinking but .." i said

"Are you still thinking that we saw our past lives?" he asked, a hint of skepticism in his voice.

"I'm just thinking that maybe that Jennifer isn't the same Jennifer," I replied, trying to ground my thoughts.
