Chapter 37: Morning After

The next morning, Theodore woke up in Alistair's arms. He looked up at Alistair and noticed that his eyes were still closed. He took the opportunity to admire Alistair, he was so perfect. He couldn't believe that someone as perfect as Alistair would ever like someone as flawed as him.

"Can I open my eyes now?", Alistair asked in a bemused tone. Theodore immediately closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.

"pretending to sleep huh?", Alistair rolled on top of him and kissed him.

Theodore fluttered his eyes open, "good morning", he said as he smiled at Theodore.

"Good morning to you too, how was your night?",

"fine. I slept well, thanks for asking",

"don't you have to go to the palace today?", 

"I do actually and I am running late", 

"I will tell the servants to make you breakfast, go take your bath",

"ok", Theodore said as he stood up, he winced a little as he stood up. 

"You are still hurt?", Alistair enquired.
