Li Xue became engrossed in the seer's story, desperate to learn more about the prophecy and its implications for the kingdom. The seer, named Jia, had been a trusted advisor to the royal family for generations. Her visions were said to be infallible, and her words carried great weight in the kingdom. It was Jia's prophecy that had foretold the downfall of the Mermaid Kingdom at the hands of a gullible princess, a prophecy that now haunted Li Xue's every waking moment.
As she read, Li Xue became increasingly determined to change the course of fate. She knew she could not allow the prophecy to come true, not when the lives of so many innocent merfolk were at stake. Li Xue hesitated, unsure if she should share her concerns with Master Lian. But as she looked into his kind, knowing eyes, she realized she could trust him. She told him about the prophecy and her determination to prevent it from coming true. Master Lian listened intently, nodding his head in understanding.
"Princess, your dedication to the kingdom is commendable," he said. "However, I must caution you against the use of powerful magic to alter the course of fate. The consequences can be unpredictable and often disastrous. Instead, I suggest you focus on building alliances and strengthening the kingdom from within. Remember, knowledge is power, and with the wisdom contained within these walls, you have the potential to change the world."
Li Xue took Master Lian's advice to heart, realizing that the key to saving the kingdom lay not in dangerous magic, but in the power of knowledge and unity. With renewed determination, she continued her studies, seeking the wisdom she needed to become the ruler her people deserved and to protect the Mermaid Kingdom from the dark future that loomed ahead.
