The next morning Ronnie woke up earlier than Jayne. He found her sleeping peacefully in his arms. 'Ah lucky is the man who can get to wake up to see his woman next to him everyday!'
He couldn't stop admiring her sweet, oval face no more than the size of his palm. She was strikingly beautiful. Her dark, long, black hair was free flowing next to her bed. The most accentuating feature of her face was the nose ring she'd worn. It made him want to kiss her dearly.
He thought, 'How I wish I was this nose ring on her nose! At least I could stay on her all day all night. Ah! I'm shamelessly in love with her.'
Suddenly Jayne made a small move in her sleep which alerted him. He carefully woke up trying his best not to disturb her. Then he washed up and came back to find her trying to wake up. He slightly froze at that alluring scene in front of him.
Ronnie couldn't stop admiring her. He slowly pulled himself up and walked towards her and said, "Good morning my dear Jennie. Did you sleep well?"
"Good Morning Ronnie. I slept very well. Thank you. How about you?" Jayne murmured in her raspy voice.
"I guess this was the best sleep of my entire life. I slept really well. Come on get up and wash up. Auntie Mo has already prepared something for us to eat. We need to eat soon and get ready since today is Da Nuru's wedding and the celebrations are about to begin." Ronnie said.
"Sure." Jayne said and walked out of their hut.
By the time she came back, she saw that Ronnie was waiting for her with the breakfast bowls of gruel made by adding tsampa, a roasted flour to water. They ate all of it and she followed it up with her medicine bowl.
Later Aunty Mo had already prepared dresses for them to wear for the wedding. She personally came and took Jayne with her to get her ready while she passed Ronnie his dress and asked him to get ready.
Ronnie politely nodded and took the dress from her.
Both men and women wear a long undershirt over a pant-like garment, both made out of wool. Over this, they wear a thick, coarse, wraparound robe that reaches to below the knees and fastens at the side. A sash is belted around the waist.
Ronnie at first found it difficult to wear all of that. He was confused. So he called Da Nuru for help. Da Nuru who was already dressed up now helped Ronnie to put on his dress.
Meanwhile Jayne too took Auntie Mo's help and got ready. She too wore a similar attire except that she wore multi coloured aprons to cover the front and back of her body below the waist.
Later Auntie Mo even gave her typical Sherpa ornaments to wear. With the dressing she'd completely transformed into a pretty Sherpa woman. To top it all, her head was covered with a distinctive cap locally called shyamahu thus even hiding her injured bandaged head.
Finally the couple wore their boots to complete the Sherpa look.
With this Ronnie was the first to walk out of the house. He was waiting for his lady-love to get ready.
