Chapter 70: Danger Lurking in the Shadows (Part 2)

"I don't know what exactly happened" Kate started narrating after they picked an empty seat in the pub "I just woke up after hearing screams, then I heard dad telling mum to carry me somewhere. Then… I cannot remember the rest. Everything's been hazy for some reason"

"How did you get here then?" Orpheus asked, "Do you remember where mother carried you to?"

"I can't really remember." Kate rubbed her forehead "There was this middle-aged dude that met me, saying he was a friend of my dad. I think his name was filipis or something"

"Hmm?" Orpheus' eyes widened in disbelief "Mr. Philippos?"

"Yes! Mr. Philippos! That's the guy" Kate nodded "The last thing I remember was him telling me that I'll be safe somewhere, then he held my head and I passed out. When I came to, I was in the house of the headmaster of my academy"

"That's not supposed to be possible" Orpheus muttered in shock
