Chapter 87: Not alone

Mira was shocked by her sister's words. She joined Cairo by the door to confirm the truth with her own eyes. As soon as she looked outside, she spotted the group of women and the human-faced machine giving them instructions.

"What the hell is going on here? Who are these women?" Mira asked puzzled. 

"The Professor lied to us," Cairo answered. "There are other survivors in Sorus. We're not alone! They have always been here, but he did not want us to find out."

"Why would he—"

"Because he doesn't want them to come to Lazarus. He doesn't care about anyone except himself. We could have saved these people!"

"Do you think they are from the camps?" Mira asked in a hushed voice.

"Yeah, that's the only possible explanation."

"Where is that android taking them? And who is that guy in the exosuit?"

"Maybe he's another android."
