"I hope I'm wrong. Otherwise, I'd hate to keep you on my bad side."
"It's… It's definitely not that."
"You gotta work on that area." Dexter laughed. "You seriously don't know how to bluff — how adorable."
Dexter poured the empty cups some tea and added, "I won't press you to tell me your thoughts; they're yours. Though I now understand why Her Majesty was upset with you."
"You are foolish." Dexter slid the saucer with the teacup on it. "If you are not a Rothschild, it'll be a mystery how you survived this long in this land."
"Foolish…" Miguel let out a faint chuckle. "Many people have said that. I guess I am foolish, though I am neither proud nor embarrassed about it."
"I guess that's your charm." Dexter leaned back, motioning his hand to signal him to drink. "Well, I didn't invite you to a cup of tea to humiliate you."
"You need more than words to humiliate me."
Hey guys! Sorry for not updating. I saw some comments asking why I wasn't posting. I believed I left a note and an announcement for all my readers to see from all the different tiers.
I had some serious real-life matters to do over the past months. The reason I couldn't focus on writing. Things are manageable now. Hopefully, it will continue this way.
Thank you for waiting for me. I appreciate you guys and will try to make up with you by publishing more chapters in the future.
