Chapter 87: The Dragon Pavilion

The first light of the dawn painted the clouds of the sky in a light shade of lilac and red. It was very early, a time where most of the village was asleep, but there was a large gathering of young disciples outside a large mansion.

They were all dressed in black mourning robs and lined the sides of the pathway with heads lowered, solemn eyes that looked nowhere in particular.

Dong!

Dong!

A sound of the bell came from the mansion's tower, three deep rings announced a celebratory occasion. There was a rapid confusion that spread through the disciples as they all exchanged nervous glances.

"Was there a mistake?"

"Our master is on his death bed, why would they announce celebration?"

"Could it be some indecent mockery-"

"Hey, look!"
