The massive beam of silver and blue energy flew across the ocean, destroying every ship within it's sight, all the way down to the very last atom.
All of the ships outside of the shield were destroyed, there wasn't even scrap metal left in the wake of the cannon as it smashed into the shield and ripped through it like it was nothing more than just common paper. Zareth flew higher into the air so as to avoid getting hit by the beam, but the shockwave was so strong that he was pushed back, his flight completely out of control.
