He then turned to smile at her. "You have no idea why I did that, do you?" Wen Ran was speechless. What was happening? someone pleaseeeeee find the raw name of this novel .........................................................................................
I read the first 20 chapters. So here's my spoiler for those who need to know more about the characters before you spend your time and money investing in the story. I have a suspicion that the male lead is also reborn or something. either way he's very much a white lotus. except when he's alone with the female lead he's in different, uses her as bait to lure demons out, puts her in dangerous situations in order to entertain himself, acts like a psychopath, and then uses her as an excuse to make himself look like he's a hero and being bullied. basically he does a lot of gas lighting. He doesn't really care for her at all. He insult her in a way that only a white lotus can. I very much get the vibes that this is one of those hashtag abusive love kind of stories. But the author is trying to convince us that it's supposed to be sexy or cute or intriguing or yandere or whatever. to me all I see is an abusive male lead and a female lead who's trying to get out of an engagement and everybody else is forcing her to stay in the engagement because he keeps on gas lighting her and everybody around him and I just really don't want to waste my time and money on another story that supports the idea that something like this is love.

What to say? I hate these scheming-in-front-of-you-but-no-one-will-believe-you-if-you-say-anything characters, but I will try and review it fairly. The beginning of the story is extremely confusing, I'm assuming because of bad translation. The FL is fairly likely, but I see no need for the story to be a book, nor for her to suddenly remember the plot. The ML is... Extremely two-faced? But not in any way that makes sense. I think he probably kept his powers but was reborn back to the time when he was choosing between the FL and the protag of the "story", but even that doesn't explain why he's so "interested" 😑 in the FL. All in all, I found this a very frustrating read. It picked up after C10, but the writing wasn't that good and I don't really feel like there is a bigger plot unfolding - just random events.

Comedy definently needs to be added as a tag. The ML is too much of a joker, and I feel bad for the FL. The world and characters seem to be fleshed out properly. The only problem is every now and then the names get translated wrong. Overall, I want to keep 📚 reading.
this one have so much potential with unique character personalities but the flow of the plot is not smoothly written and felt weird to read sometimes. but i really love the ML and FL
