Amon looked at Elizabeth's face, which had a subtle shade of red on her cheeks.

Just from a glance he could confirm her emotions.

She was feeling jealous deep down. But that jealousy was something she herself didn't know about.

Amon wasn't dense in these matters. He knew the source of that emotion.

He knew for a long time that Elizabeth seemed to have some type of crush on him.

That much he was quite sure of.

The only problem here and the sole reason why he hadn't given her a reply yet was…

He didn't find himself having feelings for her currently.

As stated before, yes, he liked her for sure. 

But he didn't know if those feelings of liking her were to the point of loving or having a crush on her.

He was still unsure of how he felt toward her.

He didn't want to love her or get together with her half-heartedly just to satisfy her feelings.

That wasn't the definition of love in his dictionary.
