Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Warrior of Vision

Lutsey was sitting on the branch of a tree, looking at the horizon, immersed in his thoughts.

The young native girl's weapon was her dagger, the blade of which was a Palulukan tooth, finely sharpened to match the wrist giving the weapon a certain splendor added to its rarity.

The scabbard to which he was attached to his left flank with his loincloth.

Indeed, during the last month, it had just had its twentieth year. She touched her short hair while reflecting. She had cut it off a short while ago, not liking long hair like her other Sisters of the People. This earned her many astonished looks, but she didn't care.

During these two years that passed, Lutsey kept thinking about the meaning of his visions. The hybrid, the strange unknown and ... The sixth Toruk Makto and another vision.

In this dream, a uniltitanyu warrior facing a tawtute in his metal armor. She had tried to discern their faces but everything was blurred ... Only the five fingers were visible.

The young warrior tried to know who this character was but she could not. Even her twin sister could not help her on this point. All she knew was that one of these demons with false bodies would play a crucial role in the future.

And then she thought about the other visions and could discern connections that were beginning to be made.

Was Eywa trying to tell her that her destiny was linked to the future Toruk Makto? It seemed inconceivable to her, but she trusted their Mother. Even if the Toruk Makto was a human, she would pass on her hatred to help him in his fight. But...Bonding? No! Now she was asking for too much. Lutsey thought about the unknown of her vision and smiled dreamily. Since her two years, the young warrior had always hoped to meet this young man. His youthful face, but above all, his beautiful hair so special. Curly, a little arnarchic but always managing to stay put. The young warrior admired this conciliation between order and disorder.

Suddenly, she heard rustle coming from below as well as a crocodile whistle. A Palulukan! And her intuition told her that she was hunting a human. She didn't know why, but she felt it.

Then she noticed the beige clothes worn by the uniltiranyu going towards an Awaiei. The Palulukan caught up with her and managed to inflict a wound on her right shoulder. Nevertheless, the plant reacted and used its tusks, causing the creature to retreat, screaming and hissing in rage, before moving away.

Then the human got up and she was shocked to see his face. It was the face of his vision and his desires.

She couldn't believe what she saw! Now she was ashamed that she had been able to dream, during those two years, about this demon. Out of admiration came anger. However, Eywa showed her that this man will have a role in the future and this had to be taken into account.

So the young warrior got up and began to follow the tawtute that seemed to retrace its steps. Soon she heard the sounds of a metal bird and understood. It was going to escape! Immediately, she took out her bolas and began to twirl it with her right hand, evaluating the distances before throwing it.

Her target caught it in the legs and fell to the ground. As if to meet her expectations, the metal bird took off, leaving the human within her reach.

The human got up and screamed in rage, challenging her. Touched on her pride, she hurried back down and walked towards the individual, her eyes cold and concentrated.

When the young warrior faced him, she had the confirmation of his thought. It was indeed him. He did not have his shoulder pads on his shoulders, his beige loincloth and his accessories on his knees, but his hair, his face showing a person of his own age, contrasting with the glow of a strange maturity shining in his eyes. As a second skin, she could see a kind of dark blue cloth. On her right shoulder, she could see the claw marks of the Palulukan, handicapping her enemy in case of confrontation.

Ben in a furious tone: What do you want?

Lutsey was surprised to hear her tongue, although she perceived a clumsiness in the pronunciation of words. But her surprise lasted only a few moments.

Lutsey: You'd better surrender and follow me. You're in no condition to defend yourself.

Ben: I would have been if you hadn't stopped me from joining my people!

With those words, he showed him the bolas he was holding. With a quick and cold gesture, she took her weapon from the hand of the demon of heaven before he had time to react.

Lutsey : Follow me or I'll force you

Ben: Why this interest in me?

Lutsey: I don't have to answer you.

Ben: And me, to follow you. I don't intend to let myself be nicely treated by a woman seeking conflict and allowing herself to dictate my behavior!

Lutsey gritted his teeth at this answer. Obviously, he was a warrior! He would not give up without a fight. Although his pragmatic side was outraged by this, his warrior side was satisfied to have a challenge before it.

Lutsey: You wanted it.

And following this word, she inflicted a violent punch on his abs, taking his breath away. The young warrior could cut the fight short, but she wanted to test this Tawtute fighter. Lutsey didn't have time to react because the dream walker knocked her to the ground with his back to the ground and the sound of a blade coming out reached her ears and she responded with a kick to the wounded shoulder, forcing her to drop the weapon on the pain.

The warrior took the opportunity to get up off the ground and give him a hook with her right hand, causing him to fall to the ground. He got up with difficulty, facing her with tears in his eyes and clenching his teeth, while he trembled with all his body. Blood spilled from his lips, he had probably bitten himself during the warrior's blow.

He clenched his fists, defying her with his eyes, which annoyed him but also amused him. He tried to approach her with a punch, but she looked at him easily, and struck his wounded shoulder with her palm, making him moan loudly and pushing him backwards.

Lutsey: You're in no condition to fight. Be smart and give up.

Ben: You can dream. I'll have to be dragged by my feet to follow you!

Lutsey in position: Whatever you say.

He didn't realize that the longer he kept going, the more likely he was to get an infection in his wound. She had to hurry if she wanted to fulfill the prophecy that Eywa had revealed to her. Deciding that she had waited long enough, she launched an assault. The young warrior avoided a left knee blow with a roll and took the opportunity to draw her weapon while inflicting a scratch on her right thigh, causing it to sag slightly. Just as she was about to attack, she was surprised to feel something wrapped around her wrist.

Lutsey : What is it?

She lowered her eyes and could see her opponent's tail imprinting her. The next moment, she was pulled down, leaving a large opening for her enemy, who promptly responded with a sharp blow from her elbow to her nose, knocking her to the ground.

As she fell to the ground, she felt the blood flow to her mouth and gnashed her teeth. The former soldier charged while taking up his weapon with his tail, but he was too slow. The young warrior had time to roll to her left side, thus avoiding the attempt to paralyze her. Then, she took advantage of the mistake to throw herself on him and bring him back to the ground with the blade on his neck.

Lutsey: Are you going to listen to your body this time?

Ben was completely out of breath and sweaty. His shoulder and right knee injuries were causing him terrible pain. He rolled his eyes and grimmed.

Ben: Hunted by a Thanator and now captured by a native... A normal day on Pandora!

Lutsey raised his ears in surprise. She had never heard this language before. It didn't sound like the words her sisters used when they were learning it from this Grace. Would the Sawtute have many variations of their language? Or were they just words that she didn't know from their language?

Without asking any questions, she turned him over and forced him to turn around before striking him in the back of the head with her gun. Then she put him on her shoulders and started on his way.

In the liaison room,

Grace was inspecting the two tie boxes, looking worried. Jake's unfamiliarity with Pandora led to his separation from his group, hunted by the world's largest land-based hunter. For a first expedition, it could not be worse!

And now, she learned that the second soldier was also missing, not having reached his rendezvous point before the departure of his team's Samson.

Suddenly, the panel of the box n°6 indicated an acceleration of the heartbeat as well as a high celebrity activity.

Grace: What's going on?

Max: A strong increase in adrenaline, stimulating the body. It seems that the avatar is in a dangerous situation, once again.

Grace: Damn it! As if this day couldn't get any worse!

She was tempted to cut the connection, but if the avatar was confronted with another dangerous creature, she would kill the avatar in addition to the risk of killing the pilot or damaging his nervous system.

Suddenly, the nervous system seemed to calm down but remained active. As for the cardiac system, it seemed to return to a normal rhythm.

Norm: He seems to have made it through.

Grace: He's not the one I'm most concerned about.

And she looked at Jake's chamber.

On the way to Kelutral, she had taken a break to heal his wounds with a healing before she resumed her journey. During the trip, Lutsey heard him whisper in her dreams, like a "sorry," "why?" or a "Julia. Who is this Julia? She seemed important to this human. Who cares! The important thing is to open his eyes so that he can fulfill his destiny. Yet, she felt something in her, like a touch of resentment towards this name. Why did she feel this way?

The young warrior shook her head to pull herself together. He was a member of the People of Heaven. The people who made her and her family suffer. And this one will be no exception.

Then her instincts told her that he would awaken as she approached the Kelutral of her clan.

Lutsey put him back down immediately and used his bola to tie his hands as he began to regain consciousness.

Ben: What's going on? Where am I?

Lutsey was afraid he had hit too hard, perhaps damaging his mind.

Then he felt the bonds trapping him.

Ben: What the hell... Oh, that's not true! So I wasn't dreaming.

She was reassured to hear that and forced him to get up. Threatening him with her dagger towards his braid of hair, she forced him to advance towards the big tree.
