Chapter 116: The Spar Begins

The Spar Begins

The air was electric with anticipation as triplets Larry, Gary, and Barry faced off in the center of the training hall. Their team and family members watched with bated breath, eager to witness the highly anticipated spar between the two siblings, Larry and Gary.

The match began, and Larry, adopting the Shinsei style, used Quick Draw, swiftly pulling out his sword. Gary, anticipating the move, blocked the attack with ease and stepped back, his eyes locked on Larry.

Without hesitation, Gary countered with the Shinsei style's Perfect Slash, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Larry barely had time to react, parrying the attack with a swift motion.

The two brothers exchanged blows, their movements a blur as they danced across the hall. Melody, Gary's daughter, cheered her father on, "Keep going, Daddy!"

Kai, watching in awe, couldn't believe his eyes. "They're moving too fast for the naked eye!" he exclaimed.

Barry, the third triplet and a skilled warrior in his own right, stood beside Kai, a thoughtful expression on his face. "They're evenly matched," he said, shaking his head in admiration. "This is going to be a tough one to call."

As the spar continued, Larry and Gary pushed each other to new heights, their skills honed to perfection. The outcome was far from certain, leaving their loved ones on the edge of their seats.

The spar continued, with Larry and Gary exchanging blows in a flurry of steel and movement. Larry, impressed by his brother's skills, said, "You've gotten better, Gary! I thought you'd still be lazying around!"

Gary smirked, "I would be, but my wife doesn't let me. And today, I will win!"

With a fierce cry, Gary unleashed the Shinsei style's Perfect Spin Slash, a whirlwind of attacks that seemed to come from all angles at once. The attack worked by creating a vortex of spinning slashes, making it impossible for the opponent to anticipate the next strike.

Larry stumbled back, struggling to keep up with the pace of the attack. He thought it was over, but then he remembered his own training. With a swift motion, Larry used the Shinsei style's Irregular Block, a defensive technique that allowed him to adapt to any situation.

The two brothers clashed, their swords ringing out as they exchanged blow after blow. The fight seemed endless, with neither able to gain the upper hand.

But then, in a flash of inspiration, Larry remembered the Shinsei style's ultimate technique: Invisible Sword Draw. With a swift, invisible motion, Larry drew his sword and struck the final blow, ending the spar in his victory.

Gary grinned, impressed. "You win this time, brother. But I'll be back!"

Larry smiled, panting. "I'm looking forward to it."

And with that, the two brothers embraced, their bond stronger than ever.

As the spar came to an end, the whole team - Kai, Zach, G, Ace, Scarlet, and Derek - gathered around, amazed by the display of skill they had just witnessed.

Larry and Gary walked over to their family, grinning from ear to ear. Larry turned to Barry and said, "You ready, Barry? It's your turn now!"

Barry shook his head, chuckling. "I've got work to do, you know I'm the High Lord Mayor, right?"

Larry chuckled. "Oh yeah, my bad! Get to your job, Barry!"

Barry turned to his son Ace and said, "Your mother is coming back from her trip, so make sure to take care of her."

Ace replied, "Got it!"

Barry left, and Kai turned to Ace with curiosity. "What's your mother like?"

Ace smiled proudly. "She's one of the best healers/doctors around."

Kai and Zach's eyes widened in amazement. "The best?" Kai repeated.

Ace nodded. "Yeah, she's rarely home. She travels to different places to help people."

Kai spoke up, "That's amazing! You must be proud of your mother.

Ace grinned. "I am but I rarely get to spend time. She's pretty busy saving the world!"

The team laughed, and Larry clapped Ace on the back. "We're proud of your mom, Ace. And we're proud of you too!"

Ace blushed, looking happy to be part of such a supportive team.

Kai asked Larry, "Do you have any information about the competition?"

Larry sat down with his team and said, "I only have a little information, but one of the biggest challenges will be my old teammate's great-grandfather, named Ted."

Zach's eyes widened in surprise. "Isn't he called the Immovable Gold Fortress?"

Larry nodded. "Yeah, that's him. And you guys remember me telling you about my old teammate, Benjamin that his great grandfather.

The whole team nodded in unison. "Yeah..."

Larry continued, "Well, I heard he's got all the sword master students, plus some of the God Proxy children on his team."

The team fell silent, thinking it wasn't fair. "His team is stacked," Scarlet said, breaking the silence.

G shook his head. "That's not even a fair fight."

Derek frowned. "We can't let that stop us, though. We have to come up with a strategy to take them down."

Kai nodded. "Agreed. Let's get to work, team!"

The team began brainstorming, determined to find a way to overcome the formidable opponents ahead.

Kai asked, "Who are the Sword Kings?"

Larry replied, "The Sword Kings are god of aura proxy Ares, the God of War, Jeremy Blackwood, Daniel Lostbell, Akane Kyoketsu, and Denmark Star."

Kai's eyes widened in awe, taking in the legendary names.
