Chapter 21: "Taking the Leap: F-Rank Requests"
After weeks of intense training, Kai felt ready to take on requests for the Adventure Guild. He turned to Zac, his brother and partner, and said, "Let's do this, Zac! We're ready for our first request!"
Zac, a bookworm and strategist, nodded, his eyes shining with excitement. "I've got your back, Kai. Let's go!"
At the Guild, they approached Alexis, the receptionist. "Hey, Alexis! We're here to take on an F-Rank request. What've you got for us?"
Alexis smiled, her eyes scanning the request board. "F-Rank requests are perfect for new adventurers like yourselves. These jobs typically involve retrieval, escorting, or simple investigation. No combat required, so Zac's self-defense skills should suffice."
Kai and Zac exchanged a look, relieved. "Sounds good to us," Kai said, grinning.
Alexis handed them a request sheet. "Here's your first mission: Retrieve a rare herb from the nearby forest. It's used for medicinal purposes, and the village healer needs it urgently."
Zac's eyes lit up. "Sounds like a piece of cake, Kai!"
Kai chuckled. "Let's get to it, then!"
With their first request in hand, the brothers set off on their adventure, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
