Chapter 1: prologue
Prologue:
Kai and Zac walked side by side on their way to school, their backpacks slung over their shoulders. It was a typical morning, with the sun shining down on them. They chatted about their plans for the weekend, unaware that their lives were about to take a dramatic turn.
As they crossed the street, a strange glow enveloped them. The world around them began to blur and distort, like a painting melting in the rain. The brothers stumbled, their vision spinning.
When the light faded, they found themselves standing in a lush forest, surrounded by towering trees and unfamiliar sounds. The air was crisp and clean, filled with the scent of blooming flowers.
"Whoa, what just happened?" Zac asked, his eyes wide with wonder.
Kai's face was set in a determined expression. "I don't know, but we need to find a way back home."
But as they looked around, they realized that they were truly alone in a strange new world. No buildings, no people, no signs of civilization. Just the two of them, in the midst of a vast and mysterious land.
"Welcome to Tenria," a whisper seemed to echo through the trees.
And with that, their adventure began.
