Chapter 18: "Progress and the Next Challenge"
Days passed, and Kai's training intensified. One evening, as he and Zac prepared for bed, Kai felt a surge of excitement. "Zac, I did it! I formed a second circle around my heart!"
Zac smiled, proud of his brother's progress. "That's great, Kai! You're getting closer to mastering your Aura."
The next day, Kai sought out Ryker, eager to test his new skills. "Ryker, I'm ready for another spar. But this time, let's use weapons."
Ryker's eyes sparkled with interest. "Very well, Kai. But don't worry about hurting me. I can handle myself."
Kai hesitated, worried about Ryker's safety. But Ryker's confidence was reassuring. "Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you."
Ryker picked up a wooden sword, while Kai drew his twin daggers, Ignis and Glacis. The second spar began, and Kai's determination was palpable. He was ready to take on the challenge and show Ryker his growth.
