Chapter 61: heroes welcome
"Heroes' Welcome"
The sun was setting over the bustling town of Ledian, casting a warm orange glow over the grand plaza. High Lord Mayor Barry Green, a stout dwarf with a bushy beard, stood on the steps of the town hall, a wide smile on his face. He raised his arms, and the crowd erupted in cheers as the team of adventurers emerged from the town gate.
Kai, Zach, Derek, Scarlet, g and Ace Green, the Mayor's son, walked into the plaza, exhausted but triumphant. They had defeated the Blue Trolls, saving Ledian from certain destruction.
"Welcome back, heroes!" Mayor Green boomed, his voice echoing off the buildings. "You have saved our town from the brink of disaster. Tonight, we celebrate your bravery and skill!"
The crowd cheered and chanted the team's names as they made their way to the town hall. Ace Green, the son of the high Lord Mayor , beamed with pride, happy to have fought alongside his friends.
As they reached the steps, Mayor Green embraced each of them, slapping them on the back. "Come, let us feast and drink in your honor! Ledian's finest cuisine and ale await you!"
The team smiled, weary but grateful, as they followed the Mayor into the town hall. The night ahead promised to be one of joy and celebration, but little did they know that shadows lurked in the corners, watching and waiting for their next move.
