Chapter 4: rouge demon
"I must give you both my thanks" I speak as Sanka and Retha put me on my bed half groggily I muster "you both realize that Ta-sheen isn't a normal human right?" Retha gasped in what sounded like shock as Sanka spoke covering me up being careful not to ruffle my wings to badly "oh I've noticed .. She's a young goddess right moon-heart have you been able to tell which god she is" "you know, the fact that you still call me by that name annoys me, but I have a general idea on who Ta-sheen is but the major task is to get her self-esteem back and that alone doesn't account for her to reawaken as her god state of mind. I'll speak to her tomorrow and I hope to see how I can start."
"Honestly Sanka if you weren't what you are, you must have a death wish for hitting me on the head earlier" Retra said to Sanka as I drifted into a nap as they began to bicker back and forth. "Hey goddess, hello… ah man knowing that your anger scares me I won't call you by that name but how else can I get you're attention" not the best way to be woken up I admit. One of the most agitated wake ups I've experienced from Retra and that she is tempted to say my own name I flick my wrist as a red ribbon appears her say 'oh man ' I swing my arm quickly thudding Retra into the wall as I stretch very sore clearly I've slept wrong "what is it better be good for waking me up like that Retra" I say as she slowly pries herself out of a now indented wall.
"owwww yes there is Sanka told me that she can't get Ta-sheen to wake up knowing what she is she wanted to tell you" Retra said as my eyes flew open wide as I leap from my bed and practically fly past all the other maidens as I stop briefly to hear Sanka say "but you all must not let her find out but discover it on her own all we can do is help in that mutter we cannot let Ta-sheen know that she is a young god ah goddess I can't-" I interrupt her "yeah thanks Retra told me and thank you all." All of them smiled as I hurried in to the bedrooms seeing Ta-sheen looking like she was having a small nightmare being cautious I approach her knowing from first hand that memories can come in dreams I with a briefly as I examine her it's just a nightmare about her current life I finally conclude as she mutters in her sleep 'no stop don't hit me' sighing I sit on the bed sake her a little bit and say her name "Ta-sheen…"
The voice seemed distant "Ta-sheen " the voice repeated as I started to stir I peered my eyes open as my shoulder was being shaken "hello Ta-sheen can you wake up for me please" drowsily I look at the person who spoke, and suddenly I'm awake it's the goddess as soon as I start to hurl myself out of the bed the goddess places her hand on my arm firmly as I stop and look at her kind expression sitting next to me on the bed what does she want and why is she looking at me with a kind look did I oversleep I don't fully know what to think besides if she's upset at me or not although I kind of know that I'm not owned here I still have that constant fear that I might be sold to the slave traders or she will discipline me I peer round to the door entrance Retra was there like she was half guarding us. "You know" I drew my attention to the goddess to the goddess as she began to speak "I had begun to worry when I received word that Sanka couldn't wake you, say are you feeling alright Ta-sheen? I know you went through a lot since you've been here" she had let go of my arm as I looked into her cool hazel eyes and smile slightly "yes I'm all right" I breath breathlessly a response she sighed and stood up. "well come on then" the goddess spoke with a cheek-ish smile confused I stood up the goddess smiles as she beckons me to follow her as I do obediently we exit we start to head toward her chambers Retra walked along side me. "goddess can I have a word with you" a unknown maiden spoke to her as I quietly follow "sure follow me will you" the goddess spoke as the person nodded and say me and gave me a kind smile. "I'm Nema" she said as she extended an open hand for me to shake as I did I saw that she was blind in her left eye I gave her a weary smile as it dropped she sighed.
Bother I wonder what Nema wants the last time she actually asked me for a favor what does she want now and I got to find a way to explain to Ta-sheen what she is and if I should let her discover it herself or not I wonder what I should do now if only she were awake I could ask for advice. "my mind is always open for you to explore" Retra's voice echoed into my mind I gave Retra a harsh look from behind me she jumped back half a step as Ta-sheen looks at me with fear and curiosity . Retra stops abruptly as I begin to worry about what the goddess wants to talk to me about "um Retra?" I hesitantly say as the goddess seems to hear me she stops and does a slow relaxed half turn "what's the matter?" she says before she sees Retra "Retra what is it" she speaks with an almost stern voice "Retra" she repeats the demon's name Retra's ear flickered toward the goddess as she was staring out the window as the goddess took a step Retra spoke
"I'm not sure but it's not a pleasant aura" "Nema stay next to Ta-sheen" the goddess seemed to order as she walked next to Retra in front of us. Out of the blue a giant spider's leg swings the hallway breaking a lot of the openings as all the other maidens run for cover the goddess tries to turn around as well but the spider leg grabs her fast and yanks her out of the window
