Chapter 15: Cheese thief
Mike laughed hard at the girl's words. "Nice!!! I am definitely going to use this saying in the future. Actually in rest of the places, I would have said that your friend is absolutely correct. But in this case a burger would have saved me from the food poisening that I might get from eating buffet. Do you have any idea what is going to happen? I will be given a sympathetic look by everybody. Also, their is another factor. I had RSVP'd with a plus one and now there is going to be an empty seat at the front table. The there will be lots of questions like- Heyy Mike! What happened dude? Your girlfriend could not make it? I will have to graciously answer all these questions upon myself. It is like thirty percent probability that I am going to have one too many glasses of bourbon and go rogue."
The girl touched his hand and then quickly pushed away her hand, not lingering on to it much. "Hmmm! Maybe you are right. At time a burger is needed to be a security blanket. I am sorry your burger ditched on you."
The man looked at the girl's purse again.
"Stella you need to stop talking about burger, if you do not want me to snatch away the cheese from your bag."
Stella quickly grabbed her purse and pushed it away from the man, to her other side.
"It is too far now. You will not be tempted to have it. Feeling better?"
