The System is Too Greedy

One-hundred years ago, the mysterious reality of cultivating oneself was revealed to the public. Suddenly, the path to power, prestige, and riches unimaginable before was open to every person willing to take the burden of the journey. Yet, to Atlas, a poor student just out of high school struggling to make ends meet, cultivating is just a pipe dream. His cultivation path now is just as realistic as it was back when it was just words in a book because, like everything in life, it takes money to make money. So when Atlas is finally blessed with a system to turn his life around and become a cultivator, he can only stare blankly as it asks for him for money.
