Chapter 219: Nervous wreck

"Friday, seventh of June, that's today, oh shit, I gotta get ready." She bolted off her chair and headed towards the stack on her bed, but then, she stopped abruptly.

"I gotta call Beatrix."

She ran back to her desk, snatched up her phone and began to call.

"Sweetie, miss me already?"

"Beatrix, I got invited for the interview," Her excitement was palpable from the sound of her voice.

"Ooh, I'm beginning to think Matteo might just be destined for you,"

Her reference caused Stella's throat to go dry, she scavenged the insides of her mouth for moisture to gulp down because – she wondered why she would make such a reference in the first place.

A panic began to build within her, as she began to believe Beatrix somehow knew about her secret interest in her brother and might've told him already.

I don't think I'd ever be able to face him – ever.
