Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Amnesia

Before he could even run, Roman chased after him, jumping and kicking him on the back. Jefferson went down, his heavy body crashing onto the ground with a loud thud.

The dust on the road rose up, like a gunshot had gone off. Roman didn't know why, but he felt the urge to burn him, to kill him. He didn't know what was influencing his mind, but he held back.

He lifted Jefferson, well, he just rolled him over. Jefferson had a panic-stricken face, his eyes wide with fear. "Please don't hurt me, it was just a joke, I knew you could beat them, so I sent them. Ha ha ha," he said, his voice shaking like a leaf.

He looked like he was crazy, his eyes darting back and forth, searching for an escape route. Roman crouched close to him, his face inches from Jefferson's. "I wonder, do you have a wife?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.
