Chapter 20: The Third Hokage
Shiro and Naruko were about to leave the area as the anbu took Mizuki to ibiki, another one appeared beside us. " The sandaime is expecting the both of you for a Report." It said in an emotionless voice.
Both Shiro and Naruko nodded and left immediately as the anbu vanished from the area.
The Secretary was giving us trouble so Shiro just forcefully pushed her to the side and walked in. He tried being nice. but she kept being a nuisance due to Naruko so he had enough and just pushed her aside and stepped in.
Once we walked in to the Hokage who was buried into his paperwork, Shiro just shook his head. All that power must have blinded the hokages eyes from the obvious conclusion to how to solve paperwork. if he hasn't figured it out by now than it's not worth telling him how to solve it.
"Report to me everything that happened." The third Hokage said as they had reached his desk
Shiro explained to the Hokage everything that has happened. Nothing that was said was without Naruko's permission, as it was her own situation not Shiro's.
"How did you know how to do this?" The Hokage asked turning to Naruko.
"My parents taught me..." Naruko replied. Causing the Hokage to jolt upright.
It technically wasn't a lie.
He stared at her.with wide eyes.
"So you know of your....parents..."
Naruko nodded, "Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze....I do. "
She glanced at Shiro and felt something akin to nervousness, not sure if he knew or what his reaction would be afterwords.
The third Hokage looked like he had aged several years after hearing this.
He was frowning in thought, but once he noticed Naruko looking his way he gave a reassuring smile and nodded.
Naruko smiled briefly at that and looked back towards the Hokage.
The Hokage himself noticed the interactions and smiled briefly before his expression returned.
"Think nothing of it old man, I also know that my father and mother had many enemies, some won't take it very well when they find out that they had a daughter, So I understand your reasonings,."
He sighed in relief, and smiled, "Your parents will be proud of you."
He took the scroll from under his desk and unsealed it before handing it to her.
This contains the seals. to the keys of your father's estate. Do you want me to gve you your father's name as well?
Naruko shook her, "nah, I don't want people to make connections and suddenly respect me because of who I am related to. That will make me feel even worse, 'd prever to keep the uzumaki name and leave the namikaze one a secret."
Shiro discreetly nodded in approval.
The Hokage could only sigh.
"Very well...you are dismissed."

As Shiro and Naruko both walked towards the appartment. Naruko glanced his way with a conflicted expression on her face.
"Um...Shiro, about my parents-?"
Shiro raised his hand to stop her. "I already knew of them." He replied shocking her.
"What it's not surprising, you are like a mixture of both of them... Minato and Kushina...I still won't treat you anything more hen what I've been doing, you are my best friend."
Naruko eyes widened before she smiled and planted another kiss on his cheeks causing Shiro's own eyes to widen in surprise.
Shiro was stunnned because this was an unexpected move on his part, it had caught him completely off gaurd.
She giggled at his surprised expression before going.
Shiro stared for a minute as he felt the heat slowly crawl to his cheeks, he quickly shook it off and smiled before he followed shortly after her.
