Chapter 66: Chapter 65 Intelligence Missions and First Think Tank Meeting
A/N: for those wondering why I used a think tank instead of a senate or any other form that because currently it's only Departments once other species join Dark's Empire it will evolve into a Senate I know it seems rushed at the end this was because I know most do not like information dumps and if I did the full meeting that's what would happen since an empire in this state has a lot of basic proposals that would be presented at the start that cover the basics economy, military and civilian aspects anyway thanks for reading.

3rd person pov
With the new operatives for the intelligence department being as Dark can only describe as broken cheats using a term he used alot when playing games in his last life.
Once training was done he already had a few important missions he needed the operative to spread throughout the galaxy rooting themselves close to those who are in power he also made sure to warn them about the sith as well.
After a few weeks pasted the training was done and one third of the operative left the safety of the blocked systems heading to their respective missions of infiltrating not only the republic but every organisation that plays an important role in the future Dark left no one out using his knowledge of both cannon and extended universes of star wars none were left out .
It did not take long for the first operative to send news that they had infiltrated the republic senate this was done by heading to one of the planets of the core planets becoming the security for the senator for the planet.
The operative also plans to slowly build up influence on that planet so that before the battle of Naboo they can use covert means to replace the senator's position this will be done by making the people of the planet see them as a person who has their best interests in mind when the opinion is high enough he assassinate the current senator and frame the sith that way the Jedi will pay more attention to the senate which may delay Palpatine in his actions giving more time.
Dark also sent someone to infiltrate the Black Sun since what most are un sure was how the black sun were in the rebels era but after some investigation it turns out despite the same name the two organisations have different leaders which means that during the clone wars or maybe even before they were destroyed which is understandable since acording to cannon they took part in the failed assassination of Hego Damask II.
Dark doubts a Lord of the sith will tolerate their existence since it's mentioned that ex-king of Naboo disappeared after the failed assassination shortly after he abdicated the throne and was never seen again.
So in Darks opinion there's no way Hego would leave the Black Sun alone so Dark figures he might as well wait till the assassination fails than take the Black Sun assets for himself before Hego can take them before Palpatine takes it later after killing his master using his masters medical droid to poison him.
The reason Dark wants to do this is because the current Black Sun is more powerful and more wide spread than during the era of rebellion this means they will have alot of good things for Dark to procure from their remains so much so he sent multiple operative one to each to the nine vergos as well as two to the leader since as the leader he will be more cautious than the nine vergos.
As long as one of the two operatives is able to infiltrate the other will be able to follow and together they can slowly ensure the leader does what he should before Dark can acquire everything the Black Sun has.
With the operative do their missions Dark made sure that Red hacked into the Republic Database to give these operatives identities so if anyone get suspicious of them and investigates than they will find the false identities Red also put a virus on those files if someone looks at them Red will be notified and the virus will duplicate and infect the system that was used to access the file.
With that all done Dark with his plans on set made a visit to the think tank since the elected leader had been chosen surprisingly it was not any of the department heads it was a general who was very talented with both politics and planning a Clone by the name of Alexander Deshar.
Once Dark arrived the first meeting of the Think Tank the location chosen for this was the newly finished building the was build close to the palace that the clones were adamant that Dark should live in this building was huge as was called the Governmental administration building inside it had offices for the heads of each department as well as many more vacant ones for the future representative.
The room the meeting would be helps was similar to the republic senate room even using the same hover pads the differences was that one section of the room only had one large hover pad that had what can only be described as a throne the pad was at the highest point being higher than the large pedestal that at the top had a section that had a holopad that was docked to it that was for the head of the Think Tank.
The colours used being the signature colour of Darks armour red and black even without his input the clones had taken those colours as the colours that represents the empire Dark had no complaints as it made the room look intimidating.
As soon as Dark arrived he was directed to the pad with the throne once he was seated the pad began to riise till it docked at the wall at the highest point this allowed him to see the whole room while also allowing everyone here to see him.
Not long after Dark took his position a young man on the hover pad that was at the center of the room the room started to speak " hello everybody thanks for coming to the first assembly of The Darkadian Empires Think Tank also thanks for choosing me as the head of the Think Tank" the man stops talking taken a quick glance at Dark since with a single word Dark could take his position Dark just nods showing he acknowledged his position and for him to continue.
After recieving the nod that the man let's a breath out be fire continuing " now to the topic on the agenda the research department have put in a request for two things a research institute and a research Nexus" hearing what the Research Department have requested Dark raised a eyebrow since the only research Nexus he was aware of came from Stellaris it was a galactic wonder just like Ringworlds but Dark had never mentioned this so he was unsure how the researchers knew about it.
After thinking about it Dark decides to ask Red later" so we will vote on whether to use resources for this on all your pads there should be a display use this to vote for or against the proposal" after Alexander had finished everyone went to vote and it was the majority that would be implemented.
Not long later to no ones suprise the vote ended with those for having more votes and these votes came from most departments that rely on tech even the Navy and the chief ground general voted for which Dark can understand since the research Nexus will increase how many projects can be done at a time meaning more chances to get better weapons and ships.
Alexander spoke again " the votes are for the Research Nexus and research institute" after he finishes talking he looks at Dark wanting to see if he is against the proposal on the arm of Darks through a display shows Darks the a chose to veto the proposal or implement it this is done only for large decision and this one was huge the research institute not much but the research Nexus will take alot of the resources of the empire to build although not as much as the super shipyard it still a lot.
Dark presses the display after that the display on all the pod changes to reveal his choice it's done this way since Red connected the display directly to his neural implants that Destiny is housed since he can not be present at all times so this prevents the head think tank from hiding the decision Dark makes another failsafe against corruption.
Seeing Darks choice the Departments that voted for stood up and thank Dark for voting to implement the proposal" it was a beneficial proposal for the empire as well as for future plans so there is no need to thank me" Darks calm reply only causes those present to show more respect towards him.
The rest of the meeting is just small proposals and do not need Dark to vote so he just sits their and observes the rest of the meeting untill the end " that's all proposals for this session and I am sure we have alot to do to start implementing the ones that passed" after Alexander finished speaking the Department heads start to leave and get back to their departments only Alexander waits.
He is waiting for Dark and once Darks pod descends and Dark leaves the pod Alexander walk up to him " greetings your Majesty I hope you are happy with how I handled everything" after Alexander was finished speaking Dark replies in a neutral tone" it was handled very well I was expecting arguing to happen but everyone was rather united with the proposals" hearing Darks words Alexander was no surprised but he knew that the heads did not want to cause problems for Dark since not only was he well respected one of the heads was also a member of his personal team while also being the Intelligence Department head.
Not only that all the heads had seen the training the operative for that department have and knowing that those same operatives could kill any of them without any of them knowing how it was agreed not to piss Lucy off since she seemed to admire Dark more than them and they knew how crazy the rest of Darks team were there was no one willing to test how crazy Lucy could be.
