Chapter 1: Reincarnation
"What is this place? How did I get here?"
"The last thing I can remember is that I was feeling tired after spending the whole night partying at a friend's place and the next thing I knew I woke up here" August thought.
While figuring out what was going on he felt a sharp jolt rush through his head as memories of a stranger began rushing through his mind.
After some minutes passed after he processed a large amount of information from those memories, August was astounded. "What!! I've reincarnated? Wasn't this what happened in many web novels I read?"
But seeing the burnt robes that he wore and his skinny physique, he could not disbelieve this fact. " From the memories, the body I have reincarnated into belongs to a man named Ryncol and he was killed by a rank 0 rogue sorcerer." The astonishment on August's face became even more pronounced.
"Sorcerer? Does this mean that there is magic in this world? Also, this Ryncol was a Sorcerer as well? Sorcerers are individuals who are able to manipulate the elements such as fire, water, wind and earth to produce unnatural effects such as causing tears in space and splitting the sea.
Also from his memories, there are ranks among Sorcerers with the weakest being from 0 to 9." August also discovered that rank 0 Sorcerers could only be regarded as apprentices and not official Sorcerers in this world.
This world was also filled with so many magic beasts and spells that could lead to one's death, which happened to the body's previous owner.
"This is going to be an adventure and a second chance at life for me so from today onward, I am going to gain power that can ensure my survival in this ruthless world!" August vowed to himself. But first, August had to get out of this cave and figure out some plan that will be able to grant him the power to protect himself in the meantime.
