Chapter 4: Adisa in deep thoughts

Adisa had agreed to immerse himself in Oke and Aina's personal problem of childless life. As they both departed from the Iroko tree, Adisa dashed home immediately to proceed his catch and have the graasscutter sold as against his friend's suggestion that it should be eaten.

Before he could get home, the decision to help Oke in the ritual exercise recurred in his memory. The doubt of having promised pieces of land out of the contract was registered in his mind . Although, Adisa had known Oke for his sincerity, a man who has dishonesty and deceit as alinens to his life, qn iota of doubt came over him, considering the fact that his friend too was a human being.

The doubt of eventually having the piece of land to his name was silently chewing in his mind. At that point, helping his friend to carry out the ritual wasn't the issue, but the immense piece of land was introduced into the agreement as compensation was creating worrisome feeling in Adisa.

Against their agreement, Adisa dicided to lich up this sensitive issue in his mind without giving his wife the idea of what is going on.This is necessary because Adisa had never done anything out of his wife's consent since they had come together as one especially when it comes to issue that will have perpetual effects on the family.

Before leaving for the king's palace with Oke to crown up their agreement with the ancestral support and customary procedure.Adisa eventually made up his mind to unfold the opinion and decision he had made to be part of Oke and Aina's history of child bearing. This was not to give Awero the privilege to probe into the depths of the matter but just for her to file some ideas in her memory concerning what was going on.

.... Don't you think our lives and that of the generation to come are at stake in this matter?"Awero had a bad promotion after Adisa had briefed her on the idea of what was going on.

"No......l don't see it from that end.....To me, it's a great avenue for this family to have such huge piece of land to its name..... Don't you see it that way?" Adisa asked his wife Awero.

" Well, it's a good idea to help your friend such worrisome thought away but he continued to pray for the contract not to end up being a stroke of misfortune to him and his generation to come.
