Chapter 2: SILENT MIRROR
She had a look at it more and more closely as a short breath purse on her lips. When out of the blue, her thoughts strayed into another world again. She wanted to walk away but again something was pushing her more closer to it.
' Oohh, what a sweet mirror. Who could have left it here? And how come there's no dust. It seems new and clean.' she thought glancing at it.
' Did anyone new about this mirror being here? How possible is it? I remember very well l was the one who cleaned this room three days ago before shifting from these place and lock even the room by myself. How could they have entered and put it in here without anyone's permit?' she thought again this time raising her hand to touch it. Though she was trying too hard to restrained herself, but a force of magnetism was pushing her hand to it.
She tried to yanked her hand away to go and sleep but still she felt like touching the mirror. Her throat was yearning to touch and feel it. She was too engrossed in her own predicament that she was jolted to reality when she heard a familiar voice, making her hand to fall down immediately. When she heard again her name being called, her lips parted in surprise and awe knowing that it was her father's callings.
' Yes, papa! What's wrong.' she quickly responded walking towards the door to opened it.'
' Are you yet to sleep?' she asked paving his way.'
' Yeah! I just wanted to talk to you about something or if you're not ready to hear it l might as well take my leave.'
' No, am good, am good to listen what you're going to say. Tell me is it that urgent.'
' No. It's about the house.' he responded taking a seat.'
' Th...e.....these house? What's wrong about it? don't you like it, we can always shift you know.' her answer came quickly surprising Mr Sun Han.'
' Heey! Slow down my idea. You know am old so getting what you're saying might be hard.' he said chuckling. Anyway, the one who sold you these house did you asked any approval papers?'
' Yeah!
' And, what was his reaction?'
' Errr.... Actually, he said that there was no need for us to sign any documents right now until three months of us staying here are over. He also said that he does give his tenants three good months for free, then on the fourth month that's when they can start paying the rent after signing the documents.
' Oohh! And didn't you notice anything creepy the day you had a look at it on the first day you arrived here?
' No, l don't think l saw anything suspicious. I gause you can ask Alexander and Linet tomorrow for pure approval.'
' Tsc, haha! No problem. Anyway, let me go and rest and leave you to continue what you're doing. See you tomorrow darling,' he said kissing her forehead walking out of the room leaving her in thoughts again. After some minutes, she hopped on her bed drifting again into the land of sweet dreams.
While a sleep, she started dreaming. She was in a very scary and lonely place and from a far, her name was being called by so many voices. As she moves more closer, the voices seemed more familiar. She passed through the dark forest searching for the voices but when she reached where the voices were coming from, there was no one. Absolutely nothing except the mirror which was on her wall. She glanced at the silent mirror closely and some words started writing itself in blood in it. She couldn't read it cause the crimson thing like blood started pouring out of the mirror and in a blink of an eye, a figure appeared immediately making her to stamble backwards and fall on the ground.
It started moving where she was, as she shout for help. The unknown figure continued to move and it didn't care whether she was afraid or not. Lyn tried her best to raise herself from the ground but her knees were weak. It seemed that somebody had drained the energy out of her and she found herself falling back to the ground. Her voice was cracking as she shouts for help due to the dryness of her throat. The unknown creature, which was wearing a white gown stopped right Infront of her and started murmuring some unknown words. Before she could get the words correctly, blood started dripping from her mouth as the unknown creature kneels right beside her, making her to have a good look at it's scaring face.
' Lyn, Lyn....Lyn wake up.' someone called shaking her shoulders.' Lyn, are you alright, wake up.'
' No, no, leave me. Leave.... Leave meeeee, Ahhhh! No, no.
' Lyn! Wake up! Luca shouted inside her ears ass she wakes up immediately. Her forehead was sweating continuously as her eyes scans everywhere until it got Luca who was smiling at her.'
' Were you in a serious war? He questioned his eyes staring at her.'
' Are you insane? I always wonder with you if you truly are my brother. Do you really care about me?' she pouted stepping out of the bed chugging amount of cold water in her throat.'
' Huh! I didn't mean to startle you in your sweet romance dream.'
' Luca!
' What! Am l lying. My eyes are my witness. Do you know what's the time? It's twelve and mother can't believe that today you've slept. You even forgotten your friends were coming over.
' What!.... Oohh shit! This bad dream. Where are they?' she quickly placed the glass back on her table stool storming out of the room leaving Luca in awe.'
' What a cow. No wonder she always snore in her sleep. And what's this? He murmured when his eyes got a glance at the opened mirror.'
' She didn't have to carry her mirror all the way from Lagan city to here. No wonder ladies are troublers. Why Carry a mirror all the way from South Korean to Kenya yet there's nothing good about it? Huh! Thank God am a man, we don't need such time wasting things.' he whispered having a good look at it then within a second, he stormed out of the room too without noticing a flicker of light that just lighted inside the mirror and a scratching sound that it made. After a minute, something creepy, came out of the mirror as it falls down weakly on the floor.
