Chapter 24: Chapter 23 - Another Bullet

It took Firdaus a few weeks to recover. Linda kept an eye on Vijay as well – he had not been in the best shape when he returned.

Firdaus's office had been alerted that there had been an assassination attempt and he had been injured. The President, the Prime Minister, the Governor and the Chief Minister, amongst countless others, had called to wish him well.

Too soon for anyone's comfort, there was another attempt on Firdaus' life. Thankfully, Jags, with her quick eye, pushed him out of the path of a speeding bullet.

Unfortunately, the bullet lodged itself in her arm.

Firdaus went insane.

It had started out like any ordinary day. Sameer had gone out on a school camping trip, and Firdaus and Jags had decided to go out for dinner at their favourite restaurant. It had been a while since the two of them had been alone and they planned to enjoy every moment of it.
