Chapter 26: Final Concert... Quitting Time
The concert hall was silent as lights turned on to aim at the female. She walked up in a bright blue kimono. "I thank everyone, for coming to this concert tonight…"
Her eyes gazed around the room to take note of the heroes who had been crass being there. "I really do hope you enjoy the songs… as these are the last two I will ever sing… and this will be the shortest concert I will ever make, but for good reason… just listen to the meaning of the words and you will understand…"
She stepped to center stage and took a breath as a piano started to play calmly and everything around her was white and reflective. Then, she started to sing.

The audience clapped, almost amazed by the song. She knew none of the normal ones got the words, but she hoped the heroes understood. There was a minute before the final song she wanted to sing started.

The room came to a hush as she stopped singing. She stood there and held the mic close. "I have something important for everyone here to hear."
The silence stayed there as everyone waited for her to say something. "My real name is Fate. Maria is the name I was forced to change to. Fate is also my Hero name. I am a NEXT. I am also Twisted. The spy that everyone thinks is evil. I wanted everyone to know this… since this is my final concert… and it's quitting time for me… goodbye" with that she dropped the microphone and quickly ran out of the center, heading to her home. She never heard the final claps of her concert and she never heard the heroes following her to try and get her attention.
