Chapter 134: You already lost!

Édouard returned to the palace after finishing the first day's investigation in Alkmeer. He forwarded a piece of paper to Rainard and asked him to send a spy to the mentioned place.

Rainard nodded at him and told Édouard he could not find anything useful.

"What about you, Ramiro?" Édouard inquired.

"Nothing. Locals are hardly aware of such things. I tried to talk to the people close to such victims, but nothing useful I could find from them," Ramiro replied.

"I did find something, but it needs further investigation. Mathieu used to meet a person in Alkmeer, who set such a trap for him," Édouard stated. Both Rainard and Ramiro looked at each other.

"What did His Grace find out?" Rainard asked.

"There exists a network of such people which we need to find out. Rainard, tell the spy to go to the root of this. This place carries important information," Édouard emphasized in his words.

"Yes, Your Grace. Should I accompany the spy?" Rainard asked.
