"You could have asked Mrs. Barnard's daughter to hand the journal to you," Édouard told Damien as he put the file on the table.

"Let her read that first. At least, I will know what more enemies my father have," Damien stated.

"You think that young woman will be your father's enemy!" Andrew arched his eyebrow and chuckled at him.

"Probably mine then," Damien said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Let's wait for tomorrow then. Perhaps Mrs. Barnard's daughter will not be an enemy. She did not have chased the carriage to give you the information about the journal. You have serious trust issues, Damien," Édouard concluded and rested on the leather chair with one leg above the other.

"You have developed a hatred toward the Barnard Family after you found out Oliver Barnard lied about your father to our father," Andrew stated. "Don't deny it," he pointed his finger at Damien, who nodded at him.

"I cannot help it," Damien said.
