Damien was engrossed in reading the parchment when Suzanne stealthily approached from behind and gently covered his eyes with her hands.
"What is it?" Damien asked, reaching out to touch her hand and guiding her to stand in front of him. He looked deeply into her eyes and playfully pulled her down onto his lap.
Suzanne grinned and remarked, "Nothing much. I just thought I'd interrupt you while you were working."
Damien chuckled, holding her close, and replied, "Well, you've certainly succeeded in that."
Suzanne took the parchment from Damien and began reading the message inscribed on it. "Do you really have to go out, especially since the administration center is so close to the market?" she asked with a curious gaze.
Damien shook his head and reassured her, saying, "Not today." He gently placed the parchment back on the table after retrieving it from her, signaling his intention to stay with her for the entire day.
