As the evening began to fall, Zara was ready to leave. Marie took her to the carriage, where the two were surprised to see Jemeiah and Samuel.
"Marie, come with me. I have something to show you," Samuel grasped his sister's hand and took her away with him.
Zara greeted Jemeiah, who returned her greetings. "Will Miss Zara not attend the party?" he asked.
"I won't. My mother must be waiting at home, Your Highness," Zara replied.
"I will escort Miss Zara to her home. She should stay in the party," Jemeiah suggested to her.
Zara immediately refused that. "I promised Mother I would return before the night falls. She may get worried for me if I get late, Your Highness," she proclaimed.
Jemeiah realized Zara would not stay at the party. So, he decided to leave along with her. At least, they would get time in the carriage to converse with each other.
