Chapter 445: I crave for your love

Édouard and Victor embraced each other warmly before stepping back. "You've returned to the capital. When did you arrive?" Édouard inquired as he approached his old friend.

"I got here this morning. I must admit, Prince Édouard, I'm surprised you recognized me," Victor replied, a hint of amazement in his voice.

"We used to be childhood companions. How could I forget you, Victor? It's truly wonderful to see you again after all these years," Édouard remarked with genuine joy.

"Likewise, Your Grace. And, I must offer my congratulations. I've heard the good news," Victor added with a warm smile. 

"How is your family doing?" Édouard inquired. 

"My mother passed away last year, Your Grace. Other than that, everyone is doing well," Victor answered, the smile slowly vanishing from his lips.
