She could not tell whether the stories the Count told her were true or if it was just tales he liked to tell naive girls like her. But it was still a great story that entertained her, making her forget about the awkwardness of her situation.
But honestly, she enjoyed listening to him. She believed it would have been fascinating if his stories were true, especially about the love story of the King and the woman who disappeared from his life.
Unfortunately, the Count had to attend to other important matters, leaving her to amuse herself in this massive place. Still, she wished the Count had finished his story, but he did promise to tell her more some other time.
